The short version

Prism Player collects nothing. Everything stays on your device.

Data collection

The app has no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no servers of its own. Nothing you watch, browse, tag, or search is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

Your media

Video and photo files stream directly between your device and the servers you configure (SMB or WebDAV on your own network), or play from files you select on the device. Streams never pass through any intermediary service.

Credentials

Server usernames and passwords are stored only in the device Keychain, Apple's encrypted credential store, and are sent only to the server you configured them for.

On-device data

Thumbnails, cached videos, tags, resume positions, and per-video settings are stored locally in the app's private container. Deleting the app deletes all of it. The optional App Lock passcode is stored as a hash in the Keychain.

Local network access

visionOS asks for Local Network permission the first time you connect to a server. The app uses this permission exclusively to reach the media servers you add.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be raised through the app's App Store product page.
